5 Years!!

Yesterday, Cody and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary! After driving home from the beach (which we weren't very happy about), we decided to go out. We knew we could never top the celebration we had in Maui so we settled for McDonald's and a movie (I'm married to a "professional speaker" if you couldn't tell...alliteration). I took this picture in the car on the way to the movies! Kind of dangerous considering the fact Cody was attempting to drive. I love this man so much and I'm so proud to be called his wife. We have the best time together and he is the cutest, sweetest, funniest guy in the world! It is amazing how much we've packed into 5 years. Speaking of packing....we moved into our house today! I can't believe all the "stuff" we've collected in our 5 years of wedded bliss!!! Happy Anniversary Babe, I love you!!! 

Laid back and mellow...ain't in no hurry at all!

We've had a great time on the beach. My Dad's had the beach music blasting all day and we've eaten and sat on the beach from sunrise to gorgeous sunset. I've eaten more crab than a person really should ever consume in a lifetime and I absolutely loved every bite! My brother's girlfriend, Kensey, joined us for the first few days. On our first day we showed up to breakfast in the same suit! Matthew said...let's see who looks better in the picture, you or the newest Falcons cheerleader! I didn't want to play that game! After this pic I quickly went up to change. It would have been a little too much like middle school if we had been in the same suits on the beach all day. Unfortunately, Kensey had to go home early and we miss her! We have one day left on the beach. This week has gone by way too fast! 

Off to the beach!

So...we've been home for 9 days and we are off, again, to the beach! Cody and I will be spending the week in the Gulf Coast with my parents, brother and his girlfriend, grandparents and 2 other friends! My Dad was the highest bidder (after a little prodding from me) on a week at this beach house last year during a benefit auction and we have been dying to go sense then! We intend to stay out by the beach ALL day, every day and soak up the sun! I'm sure the week will consist of lots of sun (hopefully no burns), movies, good books and cook-offs. We love the beach (if you couldn't tell) and 9 days is just too long to be at home in the summer! My hubby is telling me to get in the car so we can leave! I better go! Hawaii

We had an amazing time in Hawaii! None of our 636 pictures do justice to the beautiful things we saw and experienced. I think this was the beginning of a long term love relationship with the Hawaiian islands!!! I compiled some of my favorite pics and moments from the trip into this video along with a song from my all-time favorite music artist...James Taylor! Enjoy!

So, I am seriously attempting to put a video of Hawaii on my blog and I don't know what the problem is but...it refuses to work!!! I shows it has uploaded and processed in my screen but it will not show up once I publish! Ugh!

Just thought I would let you all know I am alive! It has been a crazy week since we returned from our amazing vacation to Hawaii!!! So fun! We took 636 pictures so I will post some this week. I promise! We had an awesome weekend with a trip to the movies with some of our favorite peeps and we also attended a dance recital (which Cody was thrilled about). It was too cute! Church was great today. It was so wonderful to be back at VL since we have missed alot lately because of our travels with FTF and vacation. Hope you all have a great Monday! 

Don't be a hater!

As of right now, I am packing my bags for Hawaii! Don't be a hater...I'm so gangsta...can't you tell? My wonderful Hubby surprised me at Christmas with this trip and we have been counting down the days since then. We will be going to Maui and Honolulu to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary!! I can't believe it has been 5 amazing years! I am so excited to spend the next 10 days, alone, with Cody. He is the best and we are going to have so much fun! I hope to have lots of great pics to post when we return however, I am hoping this trip goes by really slow! Hope you all have an awesome weekend! Until next time...Aloha! 

A home of our own...Again!

We finally close on our house TODAY! Yeah! As many of you already know, we have been living with my parents since our house sold, a little over a year ago (we had no intentions of ever staying this long). Many of you also know we have been dealing with one particular house for 4 months (you would think the bank would have their act together and want to be rid of a foreclosure but, apparently not) and as of 11:30 today, it will finally be ours. Yes, they have removed the lock box from the door and the sign from the yard. The lovely two-story brick in Powder Springs, GA officially has owners. The interior needs a little TLC so I've been choosing paint colors, carpet, stains, appliances and all the other fun stuff that comes with updating a house. We are so happy to have something to make our own, once again! So, for those of you who were worried we would be moving in with you, sleep in peace tonight.
